IVC Filter, Death Threats and Patients – The Connection?
The inferior vena cava (IVC) filter is a tiny implant that is supposed to prevent blood clots from traveling to the lungs. Mostly recommended in high-risk scenarios, when blood thinners cannot be administered to the patients, the safety and effectiveness of the implant is a matter of debate among surgeons.
